What’s the difference? A railing is a fence or barrier consisting of one or more horizontal rails with vertical supports posts while balustrade is (architecture) a row of balusters topped by a rail, serving an open parapet, along the edge of a balcony, terrace, bridge, staircase and will be compliant to technical booklet H.
Railing and balustrade systems are available in stainless steel, aluminium, brass, mild steel and toughened glass, available for both indoor and outdoor use.
